Uxcell 100Pcs M4 X 8mm Plastic Hinge Dowel Inserts With Screws - Furniture Repair Nuts For Cabinet Door Hinges, White

About This Product

Have wobbly cabinet doors because the screw holes in the particleboard or MDF are all stripped out? These little plastic inserts are the fix! This bag comes with 100 pieces – that's a lot of repairs. Each one is a white plastic 'dowel' or insert that's 8mm long with an M4 internal thread (that's the size of the screw that goes into it). They also include 100 matching self-tapping screws. Here's how it works: You take out the old, loose hinge. You might need to slightly enlarge the old, torn-up screw hole with a drill bit (just a bit). Then, you simply tap one of these plastic inserts into the hole with a hammer. It's a tight fit. Now, you have a fresh, strong plastic 'nut' embedded in your furniture. You screw your cabinet hinge back on using the provided screw, which bites into the plastic insert. The plastic grips the screw incredibly well, creating a super secure hold that won't strip out again. It saves you from having to replace the whole cabinet door or drawer front. They're not just for kitchens – use them on wardrobes, bookshelves, TV stands, anywhere screw holes in chipboard have given up. It's a super cheap, effective DIY repair that anyone can do with a hammer and a screwdriver (maybe a drill). A must-have for any homeowner or renter dealing with frustrating, loose furniture.
