Boat owners, if your Mercury or Mariner outboard (1.5L or 2.5L DFI models between 75 and 175 HP) is overheating or running too cold, a faulty thermostat could be the culprit. This is a direct replacement thermostat that opens at 143°F (62°C).

It fits a wide range of years and models, including 75, 90, 115 HP (1.5L 3-cylinder) and 135, 150, 175 HP (2.5L V6) engines from the late 90s up through the 2000s. Replaces Mercury part numbers 833072, 833072002, 833072003, 833072004 and Sierra number 18-3536.

The package includes the thermostat and two seals (part #8M0204714). Gasket not included – you might need the manifold gasket for a complete job. A crucial part for maintaining proper engine operating temperature, which affects performance, fuel economy, and engine life.
