It's a single-wire design (the body grounds through the threads) with a 1/8\ NPT male thread, so it screws right into many engine blocks, intake manifolds, or sandwich plates. It reads temps from 0 to 150 degrees Celsius (that's 0 to 300°F). The resistance changes with temperature, which your gauge reads to show the temp. Commonly used for oil temp, coolant temp, or transmission temp gauges in cars, trucks, or race applications. Made from brass with a gold-colored finish.
